New Hyperdimension Neptunia announced!

A sequel for our already released and beloved title,Hyperdimension Neptunia has been announced.

The name will be Hyperdimension Neptunia mk-II (Coujigen Game Neptune mk-II),and is scheduled for the upcoming August.

New characters have also been revealed:

Nepgear:

Uni:

Rom & Ram :

Those characters are supposedly handheld goddesses,so they seem a lot younger than their predecessors.

The game will also have improved graphics and a reworked(read:better) battle system.

August just can't come soon enough, can it?

  1. Good to see more NIS games coming out, though I still haven't played the first game in the series.

Regarding the new characters, if Ram and Rom represent the obvious real-life counterpart, Uni stands for Unicode or Unix (I guess), what does Nepgear stand for? My only guess is that it stands for the company Netgear (routers, network support, etc.) but that sound very improbable. Though it could very well be a game original name.

  2. Not sure about it either. Before learning their names,I simply thought the characters represented handheld consoles,in a similar way the goddesses of the first game represented PS3/Xbox/Wii.
